It's that time of year again, when warmer temperatures arrive and tulips begin to bloom. Life begins anew! Here in this country, we've experienced the excitement of having made history by electing our first African American President. Even though we may not all agree with some of the decisions being made, most of us have hope for a new and better tomorrow.
Did you know that if you were able to decide what shoes to put on today, you are in the top 25% of wealthiest people on Earth? Even in the midst of one of the worst recessions this country has seen, most of us still have food on our table and clothes on our back. Most of us still have a roof over our heads and a bed to sleep in at night. And most of us have, at least, a high school education.
For millions of others, many of whom are children, there is no hope. There is no food on their table, if they even have a table to eat on. They have no clothes to wear. Or the clothes they are wearing are tattered and torn. They have no place to live. No bed to sleep in. You see where this is going?
It's been on our hearts to do something for those less fortunate than myself, especially children. Since we have a daughter of our own to raise, we are unable to travel any distance to provide assistance. Therefore, we have decided to help by providing financial support to others who can.
Out of this desire to help came the idea for a collection of recipes. With money earned from the sale of this recipe book, we will be supporting this cause. Anyone who purchases our recipe book will also be helping to make a difference in the lives of millions right here at home, as well as around the world.
Please consider helping us by purchasing our recipe e-book. The cost is only $7, but that $7 can feed a child living in many poverty-stricken areas for up to a week.
Simply click on the link at the bottom of the page that says, "Recipes for Hope E-book".
Perhaps you don’t need another recipe book. You may already have several that you never use. We understand. You don’t have to order the book to make a difference. You can visit our website or donate right from this blog. To give from here, simply click the button that says "donate".
